Plenary and Session Speaker Guidelines
- Invited speakers will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation plus additional 10 minutes dedicated to discussion, and speakers of plenary sessions will be strictly allotted 10 minutes for presentation plus additional 5 minutes for discussion.
- A PC computer provided by the SYMBIOTECH25 will be available in each, conference lecture rooms or amphitheater. Bring your PowerPoint (PPT) presentation on a flash drive and please verify your presentation is compatible with SYMBIOTECH PC computer.
- MAC USERS: Please make sure that all inserted pictures are either JPEG or PNG file-types. QuickTime files are also an accepted video format.
- If you will use your own PC, it is recommended that you bring the correct display port to VGA video adapter for your particular model.
- Acceptable formats for presentations: PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx), Adobe Acrobat (.pdf).
- Video Formats: The recommended video format for presentations is Windows Media (.wmv).
- PPT embeds image files directly into the file when you save them, while video files are not embedded. Only a link is made to the video file. Copy the video clips you want to insert into the same folder as the PPT file. This will eliminate the problem of PPT losing the link to the file. Be certain to bring the video files and the PPT files to the meeting (it is advisable to have a backup copy).
- Fonts: Confirm a font size of at least 24 points for body text and 36 – 40 points for headings.
- SYMBIOTECH25 strongly supports undergraduate students and/or young researchers in delivering an oral presentation to demonstrate oral communication competence.
- Poster sessions are an important component of international scientific meetings and allow a large number of authors to present the results of their thematic research to interested participants and experts in parallel and encourage motivating and inspiring discussions.
- Therefore, we recommend that you present your results clearly in order to attract the attention of people who are potentially interested in your research.
- The content of the research is analyzed for originality, quality of the research idea, methodology and presentation of the results. The poster design and communication skills of the presenter are important for developing discussions, which are mandatory after the audience has gained insight by touring and reviewing the displayed posters.
Poster presentation details
- Location of your poster board number and set-up time will be included in final SYMBIOTECH Programme.
- Posters will be displayed on the appropriate vertical supports at the marked places defined in the SYMBIOTECH Program.
