SYMBIOTECH25 – the third international Symposium on Biotechnology
SYMBIOTECH25 – the third international Symposium on Biotechnology (30th anniversary Biotechnology Conference with international participation) held on 13-14 March 2025. All 7 scientific sessions were actively held through oral presentations and poster sections, with discussions whose conclusions are important for further scientific research work of all participants, as well as their networking, which will lead to quality improvement and more valuable research results in the inter, multi and transdisciplinary scientific areas and fields.
Participants were informed that WILEY would once again follow our scientific meeting, through a special edition of the Future Postharvest and Food Journal, linked to SYMBIOTECH25. On the second day of the Symposium, the moderators and participants of three targeted panel discussions achieved the goal – interested all colleagues and students, so that they developed serious and practical discussions, on intriguing topics: “The impact of climate change and heat stress on the Agri-Food sector”, “The importance of the agronomist’s advisory role in solving professional and eco-demographic challenges” and “How to overcome fear of meat consumption and innovative meat products: realistic perspectives”. The social program would not have been so extraordinary and magical if it had not been for the kindness of the Prodanović family, whose distillery for the production of the famous Serbian brandy “Jelički dukat” we visited, and in the tasting room we enjoyed the incredible panorama of Čačak, the superior taste of brandy and the taste of traditional and local specialties of Serbian cuisine.
We are absolutely sure that SYMBIOTECH will grow from year to year, because our hospitality and friendship were recognized by those who participated in the work of the Symposium and the mini-fair for the first time, as well as our long-time friends and colleagues.
